Where the Sun Meets the Road: CCR Eclipse Adventure!

This coming Monday is the real life event of a very talked about solar eclipse and to draw attention to the fact that you can have permanent retinal damage by viewing that brief cosmic event without protective eyewear we held a 24 hour CCR and gave out twenty-seven pair of virtual limited edition eclipse glasses during the Overnight, Early Bird and Traditional race events! The glasses were free for all racers but are available on Front Page till the actual eclipse. The racers seemed excited, with several adding their own additional eyewear just to make sure their avie eyes stay healthy. Check out these pictures featuring medieval headgear and AFK glasses.

Racers came from all over the world to chase the shadows across Aurora, some with friends and some preferring to navigate alone. Twenty-seven avies crossed the finish line, two of those completing their 10th race of the year: DanQue and Drain_Bramaged.
