Summer Lovin' CCR Event Recap: Greased Lightning and Good Times!

Our Summer Lovin' event was a blast, and one participant even joked that it was a little “greasy,” but in the best way possible! We had 31 finishers who really embraced the spirit of Grease, rolling up in their hot rods and decked out in some slick ‘50s fashion. Poodle skirts twirled, letter jackets were donned, and the vibe was pure T-Bird and Pink Lady cool. 🎶 Check your CCR Stats HERE.

CCR Gina managed to round up some jukeboxes with a little help from our awesome community. A special thanks goes out to Susanszy, Francis_7, OzGate, and Drain Bramaged for bringing in those Happy Days radios that set the perfect tone. Gina took over the station and cranked up the Grease soundtrack—so as you raced through the checkpoints, you might’ve heard “Beauty School Dropout,” “Greased Lightning,” “You’re the One That I Want,” or even “Summer Lovin’!” It was like being at Rydell High all over again! 🎤🚗

We also had our Photo Finish Challenge running, and the submissions were great. From showcasing the Grease theme to highlighting some fine developer items, the creativity was off the charts. Be sure to check out these snapshots—they’re the bee’s knees!

The event wrapped up at an old-school ‘50s diner, where we took things up a notch. Instead of root beer floats, we handed out brand-new cars! Congrats to Ksean, who won the grand prize drawing! But since Ksean had already scored a vehicle before, we decided to keep the good times rolling with a second car giveaway for our Double Winner's Circle initiative. NellieRachel was our lucky winner—way to go! And, of course, we didn’t forget our regular bonus drawing, where Jessie_James1 drove away with 5K in cash. 💸
