Honoring RedStormRizing: A Tribute at CCR's Free Spirit Festival

On April 19th, the Cross Country Racers (CCR) community came together for an unforgettable event: the Free Spirit Festival. It was a celebration of life, remembrance, and the enduring spirit of camaraderie that defines our community.

At every checkpoint along the race route, the favorite melodies of David Bowie filled the air, serving as a poignant tribute to our friend and lost community member, RedStormRizing.

Her presence may have been absent, but her spirit resonated with each chord, reminding us of the passion she brought to our community. Amidst the music and memories, there was a palpable sense of adventure as the race was full of abominations, creatures that had escaped from Dr. Seven's circus and had been multiplying over the years at RedWalk's Cove. These mysterious and adorable beings added a reminder of the unpredictable nature of life itself and to not take things too seriously. 

As the sun set on the Free Spirit Festival, casting a golden glow over the finish line, we couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the memories shared, the friendships forged, and the indomitable spirit that binds us together as a single community. Loss can remind us to embrace life's adventures with courage, passion, and an unwavering free spirit.
