Flashback Flicks: #CCRMovies20 Photo Finish Recap

Hey CCR enthusiasts! On January 26th the call was made, "It's FRIDAY, and CCR is on the move until midnight ET!" The 2024 ZMW Prize was up for grabs, and to spice things up, we had a built-in Photo Finish challenge. Racers were challenged to capture the essence of the movie clues along the racecourse and share their snaps with the hashtag #ccrmovies20. Cash, race points, and bonus excitement were in the mix. The mandate was clear: Get your motor running and have a blast!

In the spotlight, taking home the coveted 2024 CCR ZMW, was none other than lostinthewoods. A round of applause as he won from 24 total racers! Adding more pink sparkle to the winner's circle, jamt cruised home with a sweet 5K. Talk about cinematic excellence on the racetrack!

We all went on a cinematic journey, delving into the past to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Cross Country Racers. So, this week we decided to set the stage with what it would have been like when CCR was created. The theme? Movies from two decades ago! Our challenge? Capture the essence of one of these iconic films in the race. The entries poured in, showcasing the creativity and enthusiasm of our participants. Now, it's your turn to match the images with the movies listed above!

A massive shoutout to all the finishers of the January 26th, 2024 race, and an extra special thanks to those who took part in the Photo Finish challenge. The competition was fierce, but only one picture emerged victorious!
