CCR DOLPHY DAY: Honoring xDolphy on Her Birthday

This week, the CCR community came together to celebrate the memory of our dear friend, xDolphy, on what would have been her birthday, August 23rd. To honor her big heart and subtle trolling, the race was filled with laughter, fond memories, and some friendly competition – all in the spirit of Dolphy.

DiceBot's Debut: A Tribute with a Wink

We introduced a new addition to this special event: the DiceBot. This cheeky robot greeted racers at every checkpoint, serving as a playful nod to Dolphy's love of the dice game 4 Squares and the running joke about owning a "cheating bot" with unbeatable RNG. The DiceBot was a big hit, adding an extra layer of fun to the race and paying homage to the lighthearted spirit Dolphy always brought to her events.

Game Winners and Big Prizes

To cap off the event, we played a game of Four Square, a favorite of Dolphy's, with the DiceBot in play. The game was a reminder of the fun times we shared with her and how her unique sense of humor continues to live on in our community. Each game had its own set of 1K winners:

Game 1 Winners: Jamt, Lt. Brat, Pete Game 2 Winners: Dave, Nobel, Mary Helen, Nellie Game 3 Winners: MusicMom, Jamt

Game 4, where only one player could take home the grand prize of 5K, Kayleigh emerged victorious with a 5K prize!

We also held the traditional grand prize and bonus drawings after the race. Jessie James won the Hoverbuggy, which now matches his previously won ZMW Buggy. Following the new Double Winner's rule - which kicks in if the grand prize winner is the lucky enough to win twice, we held another drawing for a second vehicle. Kayleigh, who was one of the few remaining racers yet to win this season, was the lucky winner of the Victory Buggy Additionally, Dave008 took home the traditional 5K bonus prize, adding to the excitement of the day.
