CCR: Daffodil Day - Racing for Hope and Renewal

Greetings, fellow racers! In the spirit of hope and renewal, we celebrated Daffodil Day with a special race dedicated to cancer awareness and support. The daffodil flower, with its bright yellow petals, symbolizes optimism and resilience, traits echoed by cancer patients and survivors. Let's dive into the highlights of this meaningful event as we raced around Caldera, navigating the beautiful Thereian terrain and spreading awareness along the way.

Race Route: A Path of Hope! The track was a simple loop around Caldera, utilizing the noticeable paths that cut through the breathtaking Thereian landscape. Each checkpoint was strategically placed next to easily recognizable builds, zones, and landmarks, guiding racers on their journey of hope with a quest of related facts and information to spread awareness. The most challenging part of this race was deciding if you wanted to do it twice - which our bonus winner IAAW, aka Pete, did by going the extra mile and completing the race not once, but two times by driving another racer to each checkpoint. Race Winner: Jessie_James1 Takes the Victory Lap! Amidst the thrill of the tracks, one racer emerged victorious. Congratulations to Jessie_James1 for claiming the top spot in the Daffodil Day race! Jim was a CCR ZMW winner in 2023 and now has the 2024 CCR ZMW to go with it. He and nancyjo, his wife, often do the CCR together on Friday night.
